Pixel Forge — Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Working with us

What services do you offer?

Brand identity and logo design, print and production design, web design and development, mobile applications, book and magazine covers, and presentation design.

Do you work with businesses outside the UAE?

Yes. Most of the work happens remotely regardless of location.

How do I start a project?

Tell us what you are working on, what it is for, and any deadline. We come back with scope, timeline, and cost — or an honest note that we are not the right studio for it.

Do you work with small businesses and startups?

Yes. We would rather scope a smaller project correctly than sell you something you do not need yet.

Timelines and process

How long does a logo take?

A wordmark is typically days. A full identity with research, multiple directions, and guidelines is typically weeks. The variable is not our speed but how much thinking the project calls for — and how quickly feedback comes back from your side.

How long does a website take?

A straightforward business site is usually a few weeks. Larger builds with custom functionality run longer. Content is the most common cause of delay, so we agree who is writing it and by when before we start.

How many revisions are included?

Stated in your project agreement, agreed before work begins. Additional rounds are chargeable at our standard rate.

What do you need from me?

Timely, consolidated feedback, any content or materials you have agreed to supply, and approval decisions from someone authorised to make them. Delays on your side extend the timeline.

Files and ownership

Do I own the work?

Yes. Full ownership of the final approved deliverables transfers to you on final payment, in writing.

What files do I get?

Editable source files, not only exports. For identity work that means layered vector masters, every variant, and colour values in HEX, RGB, CMYK, and Pantone. For web, source code and repository access.

Can another designer work on my files later?

Yes, and that is the point of delivering editable masters. If you work with someone else next year, they can continue from where we stopped rather than rebuilding.

What about fonts and stock images?

Third-party materials remain under their own licences, which cover specific uses, territories, and durations. We document what is licensed and on what terms.

Can I update the website myself?

Yes. We build with a CMS your team can operate and hand over documentation for it.

Pricing and payment

How much does it cost?

We scope per project rather than selling packages, because the same words describe very different amounts of work. We have published honest market ranges rather than hiding them behind a form: logo design costs and website costs.

Why do quotes vary so much between studios?

Usually because they are scoping different projects. Ask every candidate for a written list of deliverables and revision rounds — the differences become obvious immediately.

Do you require a deposit?

Payment schedules are set out in your project agreement. A deposit before work begins is standard.

What if I need to cancel?

See our Refund Policy. In short: refunds are assessed against the stage a project has reached and the work completed to that point.

If something goes wrong

What if I do not like any of the concepts?

Tell us early. Most of the time this means the brief and the work have drifted apart, and a conversation at concept stage resolves what a later one cannot.

What if the direction is right but the execution is not?

That is what revision rounds exist for.

Will you tell me if I do not need what I am asking for?

Yes. If a wordmark would serve you better than a full identity programme, or a good responsive website better than an app, we will say so before quoting.
